The Mississippi Maternal Health Innovation (MHI) Task Force is a statewide partnership that brings together healthcare providers, public health professionals, community organizations, researchers, policymakers, and individuals with lived experience to improve maternal and infant health across Mississippi. Through collaboration, data-driven strategies, and community-focused solutions, the Task Force works to address the state’s maternal health challenges and strengthen systems of care. Current innovation efforts focus on four key priorities: expanding Medicaid continuity and access to care, increasing awareness of maternal warning signs, improving maternal mental health screening and access to services, and promoting patient-centered, evidence-based care that meets the unique needs of mothers and families.
